Nicola Ciulli, Head of R&D at Nextworks and member of the 5G Infrastructure Association Board, has participated to the Third Global 5G Event in Tokyo on 24-25 May 2017.
About 700 attendees, from both Japan and abroad, participated in fruitful and meaningful discussions at these events in Tokyo.
The organized Workshop covered the latest global topics on the 5G spectrum harmonization, collaboration with Verticals and so on.
In parallel to the Workshop, the hosting 5GMF also prepared an Exhibition for the world’s 5G promotion organizations in Wireless Technology Park (WTP2017), Tokyo Big Sight, announcing the latest news on “5G Field Trial Project in Japan” that will be started in 2017.
The series of Global 5G events is based on a Multi-Lateral MoU to cooperate on building global consensus on 5G with world’s 5G promotion organizations: the 5th Generation Mobile Communications Promotion Forum (5GMF, Japan), the 5G Forum (Korea), the 5G Americas (Americas), the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group (China), the 5G Infrastructure Association (5G-IA, Europe) and Telebrasil – Project ‘5G BRASIL’ (who signed in Tokyo the accession agreement to the Multilateral MoU for Global 5G Event).
The next 4th Global 5G Event organized by 5G Forum will take place in Seoul Korea on 22-24 November 2017.
