Mechanisms that allow infrastructure providers to partition their resources (optical network and/or IT), compose specific logical infrastructures and offer them as a service to network operators.

Nextworks role
Leader of control plane developments: Cloud-to-Network interface, Augmented GMPLS signalling and routing (GMPLS+/PCE+) for co-allocation of network and IT resources.
