5G-TRANSFORMER: 5G Mobile Transport Platform for Verticals
Design and implement SDN/NFV-based 5G Mobile Transport and Computing Platform (MTP) to simultaneously support specific needs of vertical industries (automotive, healthcare and media) via Network Slicing. In 5G-TRANSFORMER, the transport network and various computing fabrics are aggregated and federated, from the edge up to the core and cloud, to create and manage MTP slices throughout a federated virtualized infrastructure.
Design and develop MTP orchestrator functions for cross-domain virtual slices, including auto-scaling procedures. Develop mechanisms for distributed MEC service monitoring to support service orchestration decisions across federated domains.
