VITAL-5G: Vertical Innovations in Transport And Logistics over 5G experimentation facilities
Main goal
Realize a production-ready NetApps orchestration platform with open repository to boost the design and deployment of Transport & Logistics (T&L) virtualised services in 5G networks. VITAL-5G aims at fostering the adoption of 5G in T&L production through: i) 5G orchestration tools to specify network slices and related NetApp services, ii) mechanisms for abstracting the network complexity towards a more vertical-oriented information and, iii) a catalogue of both vertical-specific and vertical-agnostic NetApps, that will be validated in real-life T&L scenario.
Nextworks role
Technical management, design and implementation of tools for on-boarding, composition, provisioning, orchestration and automated testing of multi-vendor NetApps in 5G environments, development of NetApps for remote technical monitoring and predictive maintenance applied to smart factories and vessels’ fleets.
