Nextworks' R&D on 5G and verticals at EUCNC'17: enjoy our demos and sessions!

Large coverage and multiple showcases of Nextworks's R&D team at EUCNC'17 in Oulu (Finland) this year. Under the motto of "5G European Roadmap, Global Impact" our team has contributed to animate the 26th edition of the European conference, presenting  papers with the latest innovative results, showcasing demos at projects' booths, opening up views on 5G verticals through posters for newly started projects.

  • From 5G-Crosshaul, NEXTWORKS has demonastrated Energy Monitoring and Management for Network Paths in 5G networks ( with NOKIA and POLITO 
  • From SELFNET, NEXTWORKS has contributed to the showcase of the SELF-PROTECTION use case, in which we detect and mitigate effects of cyber-attacks with virtualized deep packet inspection tools and personalized honey nets.


Hosted in the city of Oulu where the first analog NMT network, the first GSM and WCDMA calls occurred and the first open 5G test network is next to come, the conference this year offers an exciting programme to get the latest fresh breaths of innovations in 5G research.
