Nextworks has participated to the 39th meeting of the Wireless World Research Forum presenting results from the 5G-Crosshaul project on 5G NFV MANO and SDN control.
This meeting of the WWRF community has been focused on the theme "Ready ‘n’ Go - 5G trials and testbeds“.
Dr. Gino Carrozzo, deputy head of R&D at Nextworks, has presented Nextworks' solutions for energy efficient service orchestration in converged 5G fronthaul/backhaul in a Special Session on “5G Mobile Transport Networks”, and has provided insights on the design, key features and performances of the Energy Management and Monitoring Application and Orchestration, developed by the R&D team within the Crosshaul Control Infrastructure (XCI).
A large audience of representatives from various vendors, technology providers, academia and research centers from Europe, US and Asia have attended to the event, stimulating lively discussions on the next wave of 5G research towards trials.
