Research at Nextworks
Our company was born out of a wealth of know-how acquired through research, innovation and development of solutions in the field of telecommunications networks (at that time QoS in packet networks, MPLS, VoIP), providing specialised consultancy and software development for equipment vendors and telecommunications operators.
Over time, we have established a virtuous R&D&I cycle entirely in-house, through participation in a growing number of co-funded and collaborative projects, mainly in the European Commission's Research & Development Framework Programmes. We know that no know-how is of lasting value, which is why we continue to nurture it.
Research, development and innovation
Since 2006, we have independently designed and developed an IoT platform under our Symphony and Sealux brands. These products manage the infrastructure that enables the complete control and automation of intelligent structures in complex technological environments such as mega yachts, luxury villas and smart buildings.
They support a wide range of sensors, actuators and fieldbuses, and implement rule-based control logic that interacts with a fully customised graphical user interface.

Public funding has always allowed us to maintain our independence in the choice of topics to innovate and develop, as opposed to any private investment.
