Gianluca Insolvibile is the CTO of Nextworks, a leading company in technological innovation for home automation, smart homes, and intelligent systems for luxury yachting.
Raised among Assembler, Commodore 64, Amiga, and the first communities of programming enthusiasts and creative experimentation, Gianluca explored from a very young age the most irreverent and visionary sides of computer science. He has always been fascinated not only by technology in itself, but also by its potential to create intelligent connections between devices, systems, and software, ideas surely influenced by his voracious and constant reading of science fiction novels.
In 2002, together with three other partners, he founded Nextworks not to launch a product, but to create a space to explore free ideas, outside market logics. Over time, this laboratory became a point of reference for luxury yachting, home automation, and smart living, bringing innovation where few had dared to look until then.
What sets him apart is not only his technical background, but also the creative approach he developed in his youth within the demoscenes, underground communities where programmers, graphic artists, and musicians pushed machines to their limits to create spectacular demos.
